Fight Swine Flu in style!

To everyone:
The current notion is sustainability is not sustainable. By that I mean, we as organisms are the only species with unlimited potential. We are the only species capable of expanding it’s own lifespan and it’s ability to leave it’s birth planet.
That said, as a society, we need to invest in the sciences that enable us to extend our own lives to thousands of years and depart our planet. These two human goals completely destroy our ability to function in a sustainable manner on this planet.
We as a species need to decide if we want to exist as hunter / gatherer / farmers and live in total harmony of the land - or as galactic consumers conquering worlds to fuel the voyage to the mysteries beyond the edges of our universe.
The first option involves us destroying all of our technologies that are not sustainable and at harmony with the planet and restoring balance with the natural cycles of our mother earth by slaughtering the off billions of overpopulation to end the accelerating consumption of our planets dwindling resources. This is already happening organically through our disproportionate accumulation of wealth, our resource-wars and conflicts of inequality. These economic and educational forces divide our planet’s resources in hopes of accumulating enough to survive our culture’s inevitable and accelerating decline. This is not the correct option. This is the current option we need to shift.
The second option involves everyone being much smarter, working together and educating everyone to the fullest to develop the planets greatest minds that will strategically convert available resources of this planet into technologies that will enable us to sustainably survive out in deep-space for thousands of years. To develop new technologies that allow all of us to unleash our own unlimited growth potential as the more we learn, the more we will not understand.
This second option points us towards sustainability with ourselves the Universe, Higher Understanding and a deeper connection with the concept of God. As a species, we need to function as one in order to accomplish this monumental task.

This was written and performed as the final scene in his first “talkie” film, called “The Dictator”. Of course, he was skewering Hitler and Mussolini in the film, but at the end, he turns to the audience and gets serious, and makes a speech that is strangely relevant almost 60 years later.
